This is on easter morning... We had a fun morning, but shawnie was sick and that was a major bummer.

We visited the zoo with my parents recently and got to show Maddie all the interesting animals. She loved them! When she would notice an animal she would start talking to them LOUD! I loved seeing the peacocks just roaming around the park... i was so excited to catch one with its feathers all spread out.
We took Maddie to the beach on our most recent trip to Yorba Linda. We went to Newport's 15th street. We had so much fun and the weather was beautiful! We played in the sand, splashed a little in the water (it's freezing cold in March :), and had fun relaxing in the sun. Maddie was in heaven chasing all the seagulls and eating handfuls of sand. She is so much fun!
Thank you Stephanie for getting my butt in gear! I have been meaning to blog my newest pictures and just haven't! So here are a few things we have been up to in the last few months.
Maddie had her first birthday! I can't believe how fast the year flew by. The theme of her party was Lollipops and Polkadots. I had so much fun planning the
party and making it a fun day. We had family and Maddie's friends over for a BBQ and cake. Here are a few pictures of the candy buffet and lollipop sugar cookies :) I am so bummed i didn't get a picture of the cake I made.... bad mom award.... if anybody has a picture please send it my way!
